Radford e Packard sono due buoni tabacchi della rinomata famiglia Poschl, probabilmente la più famosa ditta produttrice di fiuti europea.
Il Gletscher, è risaputo, è il tabacco di punta di casa Poeschl.
Il Radford è un mentolato dalla scatola in plastica blu di Prussia e dalla forma particolare.
Il tabacco è un regular aromizzato al mentolo dove pare essere evidente l'aggiunta di liquirizia
Non è un tabacco molto complesso, e francamente dopo 6 giorni di assunzione, l'ho riposto.
Per esser gradevole è gradevole, ma nulla più.
Appartiene a quella fascia di tabacchi senza infamia e senza lode, dal mercato limitato probabilmente solo alla nazione produttrice, cioè la Germania.
Più fresco, aromatico  e dall'aroma particolare, è il Packard, che viene a noi in una confezione ancor più originale del Radford: una mezza luna peraltro, poco accennata, è la forma di questa scatola rosso-granata, elegante.
Il sapore nel naso è più soddisfacente, saziante
del Radford, più spinta la mentolatura, più fresca
come detto, ma eccellentemente non bruciante.
Buone le sfumature, sembrerebbe di erbe alpine
o di fiori, delicate, non certo brutali come ad esempio l'Alpina.
E' un tabacco che non stanca, anche a reiterate
prese.
Scomodo, per non dire cervellotico, il dosatore
'a molla', originale finchè si vuole, ma decisamentescomodo: bisogna armeggiare parecchio alle volte,
per far uscire un po' di tabacco, anche con due
mani, e a volte non esce niente, altre ne esce
troppo.
L'originalità è bella quando non è scomoda
altrimenti diventa solo fastidiosa.
In definitiva, due tabacchi discreti, molto
meglio comunque il Packard, complessivamente,
organoletticamente migliore del Radford.
